HOWDY FOLKS!

Well, I hope that you enjoyed the last update as much as I enjoyed your comments. Good to hear from all of you! Things are going pretty alright here. Daniela and I went last weekend to the Spreewald Therma, which is a super duper bad ass spa that is offered here. It is with natural mineral water and features several baths with salt content from a refreshing 2.5% to a floatable 8%. They had this whole system there whereby you could follow this plan that was basically like a Roman bath; i.e. mild, hot, hotter, cold, hot, cold, etc. There were even steam and sauna rooms, but as Daniela and I soon discovered after entering, there were a bunch of naked people, in every possible European sauna way. Yikes.

Last week I ran into a bit of a surprise, as I got comments back from my extra important symposium paper stating that I had completely miswritten it. Well, after a good 45 minute semi-heated discussion it was revealed that I indeed did not write according to the standard my teacher, as well as discovering that she had not told the class before. Hmmm... Well, Daniela and I had already booked tickets to go back to Horba and see her family one last time before we go to the states (leaving 12/15!!!), so reluctantly enough I had to work on that most of the weekend (though it went especially well thanks to some editing from the parents, thanks guys!). The worst part of the whole experience was having to sit in the library on Thursday doing research for four hours, while I missed the gorgeous weather. It was in the 60's here and sunny. Not cool on the not cool scale.

Well, that is all for now, not much else to report, hope all is well!

Hey Justin (1/2 of team Justin here) - Just wanted to second your Yikes about the sauna experience! Also, that sucks about the paper but glad to hear you were able to fix things. We are excited about you and Daniela coming over for a visit!! I know that you will be pulled in a variety of directions while you are here but we want to get a pull in early...Beth will be home and working for us the week before Christmas and we would like to invite you and Daniela to a classic "Feed You Face Lunch" at the good old STCHC on Tuesday December 19th (That is the only day the Beth, Julie and I will all be here together - Julie is only here on the 19th, and I am only here the 19th and 20th). Let us know if you guys can make it, we would love to see you both. And of course there will be more food than we know what to do with (requests are being accepted now). Other than that not too much to report. Enjoy the visit in Horba and have a safe flight to the states.

Oh! I almost forgot to ask where you are planning to be in March around St. Patrick's Day because there is a good chance that I will be in the London/Dublin area for a week around that time...

Happy Thanksgiving! This is a time to reflect and be grateful for our blessings. I am grateful for family and friends who enrich our lives and for the times we have shared. A few years ago we hosted a group of Justin's friends from France and had one of the finest Thanksgivings of our lives. Thinking of all of you; blessings to you and your families.
We'll have a special feast when you return home, Justin and Daniela, and make more memories. Love, Mom

Thanksgiving 2003 was my best american human experience ever!!! It was so great to be in Saint-Charles with these handsome people whose name is Sikora:-D
Currently I'm trying to be hired in Vancouver 2010 OG team with my comapny (Atos Origin). If I succeed, I promise I'll try to say hi in Saint-Charles and you'll be welcome to stay in Vancouver. I'll keep you informed about that.
